Summary of Case: In the morning of October 2nd Alarm Phone was called by a relative who alerted us to a group of 16 people, including women and children, in distress. The caller related they had departed form Temsamane the previous day. We tried calling the people in distress but no one responded to our call. We forwarded the alert to authorities at 10.16 CEST. At 14.15 CEST the relative passed a GPS position which we forwarded to authorities. At 21.00 CEST the relative who called us informed us the group had been found and rescued from sea by the Spanish Search and Rescue organisation Salvamento Marítimo.
