Summary: On Thursday the 10th of February 2022, the Alarm Phone shift team was alerted by a relative to a group of 10 travellers, all young men, in distress in the Alboran Sea. The travellers had left from Al Hoceima the same morning at 08.00 CET on a black rubber boat and were heading towards Motril. We were not able to reach the travellers, but forwarded all the information we had to the Spanish search and rescue organisation Salvamento Maritimo. The following day we learned from the relative that the travellers had been rescued by Salvamento Maritimo and brought to Motril.
