Summary of Case In the evening of September 12th Alarmphone was called by a group of travellers in distress in a white plastic boat who had departed Algeria. Among them were five children, four women and 21 men. We were unable to obtain a GPS position and informed authorities at 20.09 CEST. We were unable to re-establish working communication to the boat through the night and following day. At 11.27 CEST September 14th a call to the people on the boat went through and one of the passengers confirmed the group had arrived to Cartagena.

  • Border police patrols
