Situation: Relative looking for their loved one who left from Algeria. The group of 13-14 travelers arrived to Spain.

Summary of the case: On the 27th of August 2021, in the afternoon the Alarm Phone was called by someone who was searching for their relative. They person had left together with 12 or 13 other people from Mostaganem or Oran in Algeria towards Spain. We did not receive any GPS location, only a phone number from the boat. Our shift team informed the Spanish Search and Rescue organization Salvamento Marítimo (SM) about the case, but did not receive clear information whether the travelers had been rescued or not. In the evening of the next day, the family member informed us that their relative had arrived to Spain.
