Summary of the Case: At 22:50h CEST of Wednesday the 30th of June the Alarm Phone was called by a boat in distress carrying approximately 70 travellers, water was entering the boat. The boat was a blue wooden boat, it had left from Zawiyya, Libya at midnight on the previous night. At 23:10 we alerted Italian and Maltese authorities passing on all the information we had. Later in the night we received the information that the travellers had arrived to Lampedusa.

Border police patrols
While the exact location of patrols is of course constantly changing, this line indicates the approximate boundary routinely patrolled by border guards’ naval assets.
