Summary of the Case:
At 17:08h CEST of Friday the 30th of April the Alarm Phone was alerted to a boat in distress by a relative of a traveller. The boat had left from Manzil Hurr, in Tunisia, and was carrying around 15 travellers. At 17:47h we alerted the Italian coastguard and at 18:27h we sent them an email with all the information we had. At 19:02h the relative who first alerted us informed us that the boat had been rescued by the Tunisian coastguard.

Border police patrols
While the exact location of patrols is of course constantly changing, this line indicates the approximate boundary routinely patrolled by border guards’ naval assets.
