Situation: Boza of 16 people in Almería
Status of WTM Investigation: Concluded
Place of Incident: Western Mediterranean

Summary of the Case: In the morning of 13th of December, the Alarmphone was alerted by a relative to a group of 16 people – from which at least one person was a minor – who were travelling in the Alboran Sea. They had started from Chelf, Algeria, in the evening of 11th of December and were heading towards Murcia. They were reported to be travelling in a rubber boat. The Alarmphone never managed to have direct contact to the people but immediately relayed all information to the Spanish search and rescue organisation Salvamento Marítimo. A few hours later, the relative reported that all 16 people have made it safely on their own to Almería.
