Summary of the Case:

On 5th of November 2022 in the early afternoon our team was alerted by 8 men who had stranded on Samos in the area of Konstantinos. They reported that they were cold, hungry and thirsty and urgently needed help and medical assistance. At 13:30 CET we alerted Greek authorities and several NGOs about their situation.
At 13:57 CET Doctors without borders (MSF) confirmed via E-Mail that they were sending a team to provide medical and humanitarian assistance to these persons.
At 16:25 CET the people told us that they are fine and arrived in the camp.

Border police patrols
While the exact location of patrols is of course constantly changing, this line indicates the approximate boundary routinely patrolled by border guards’ naval assets. In the open sea, it usually correspond to the outer extent of the contiguous zone, the area in which “State may exercise the control necessary to prevent infringement of its customs, fiscal, immigration or sanitary laws” (UNCLOS, art. 33).
