Summary of Case In the evening of September 26th Alarm Phone was called by a relative who alerted us to two people in distress in the Straight of Gibraltar who had departed from Al Hoceima to Spain. We were unable to establish direct contact to the people in distress and forwarded the distress call to authorities at 21.20 CEST. At 23.00 CEST the relative who had first alerted us reported the two men had been intercepted by the Moroccan Navy.

Border police patrols
While the exact location of patrols is of course constantly changing, this line indicates the approximate boundary routinely patrolled by border guards’ naval assets.
