Summary of Case: In the afternoon of November 1st Alarm Phone was called by a relative alerting us to a group of four women, one children and 33 men in distress who had departed Lybia. The caller provided an out of date GPS position. We were unable to establish direct contact to the people in distress and alerted authorities at 16.09 CET. We tried to get in touch with the people at sea throughout the night but remained unsuccessful The following morning, November 2nd the relative who had alerted us to the case informed us they had news that the boat arrived to Lampedusa safely.

  • Border police patrols
