Summary of Case In the afternoon of August 11th Alarm Phone was called by a relative who alerted us to a distress case of a blue boat carrying five women and ten men. They had departed Tunisia early morning August 10th and the relative had had no news. We informed authorities at 15.35 CEST. We were unable to establish direct contact to the boat throughout the remainder of August 11th. At midday on August 12th the relative who had alerted us to the case informed us the boat and all passengers had safely arrived to Lampedusa.

  • Border police patrols
