Summary of the case

On the 1st of August 2021 at 22h00 CEST, the Alarm Phone was alerted to a zodiac in distress in the straight of Gibraltar, carrying two teenagers of the age of 13 and 17. At 22h31 CEST, our shift team alerted the Spanish Search and rescue organization Salvamento Maritimo (SM) in Tarifa. At 23h02 CEST, the travelers told us on the phone that they could see a vessel of SM, and at 00h15 CEST, their rescue was confirmed by SM.
