Summary of the case:

On the 6th of October at 22:10h CEST the Alarm Phone received a message about a boat in distress carrying around 20 travelers, among them 1 pregnant woman and children, who left Tazaghine, Morocco in the morning. The Spanish Search and Rescue Agency Salvamento Maritimo (SM) was informed about the case however refused to give out information regarding the ongoing rescues. Finally, on the following day in the afternoon we received a confirmation from SM that 25 people including one pregnant woman have been rescued to Motril. We also received a confirmation from friends of the travelers that they are safe in Spain.

Border police patrols
