Summary of the Case:
At 8.45pm CET the Alarm Phone was alerted to a case of 12 men in a green polyester boat. The people on the boat remained in contact with family members, but the Alarm Phone was unable to receive a GPS position. At 10.30pm we called Salvamento Maritima Almería who confirmed the rescue of 11 people in a green polyester boat. A facebook post by Helena Maleno suggests the people have been rescued to Motril.

Border police patrols
While the exact location of patrols is of course constantly changing, this line indicates the approximate boundary routinely patrolled by border guards’ naval assets.
