Summary of the Case: At 11.18am CET on April 1, 2019, the Alarm Phone shift team was alerted to a row boat that had left Achakar earlier that morning. The shift team was initially unable to make direct contact with the boat. At 1.45pm CET, the shift team was informed that the boat was beginning to deflate, and that the travellers were thus in distress. The shift team informed Salvamiento Maritimo of the boat with their position asking for rescue help, but they respond that the Moroccan Navy is responsible. The shift team continued to update Salvamiento Maritimo about the position of the boat, and finally at 6.39pm, the Salvamiento Maritimo rescued the travellers who were brought to Spain.
