A wooden boat capsized on Friday night in the sea area between Symi isl.(Greece) and Datcha (Turkey). There were 17 people or more on the boat (following accounts of the survivors). Six people survived, six people were found dead on an island in Turkish waters and two more people were found dead in Greek territory.
According to Greek ministry of Marine, the Hellenic coast guard was informed by the Turkish coast guard on Saturday around noon. A helicopter and a vessel of the coast guard were searching for survivors. Following an official statement by the Greek coastguard, there were 14 people on the boat.
