Summary of the Case:
On 17 December at 8:45h CET our shiftteam was alerted to a group of 35 travellers including 7 children, stranded on Simi island. At 8:56h we informed the Greek coastguard who stated that a patrol boat is already on scene. After calling the authorities several times with no clear confirmation the Alarm Phone luckily were informed at 14:48h by the port authority of Simi that all travellers were safe.

Border police patrols
While the exact location of patrols is of course constantly changing, this line indicates the approximate boundary routinely patrolled by border guards’ naval assets.
