Up to 45 people feared dead, 55 survivors off the coast of Libya

Following the Italian coast guard and several news sources, a cargo vessel rescued at least 55 migrants and retrieved 10 bodies, with approximately 40 more missing.

Having left the Libyan coast toward Italy, passengers of the vessel were able to make a distress call from a satellite phone but when the cargo vessel arrived their vessel had already capsized.

Survivors say that about a 100 passengers had been on the vessel.
