Summary of the Case: On Tuesday the 6th of December 2016, at 9.03am, the Alarm Phone shift team received a call from a group of travellers in distress on their way from Morocco to Spain. They were travelling on an inflatable boat carrying 11 people, including two women. When they called us they had already been on their way for around 6 hours, and the boat was starting to lose air. At 9.22am we alerted the Spanish rescue organisation, Salvamento Maritimo (S.M.), to the case.
