Summary of the Case:
Around noon on the 10th of May, the Alarm Phone was alerted by a worried relative to a group of 19 people, including 8 children, 1 pregnant woman, 1 elderly man, 4 people who had health problems or injuries. We managed to speak with them and they sent us their location. We sent an email to inform Greek authorities, Frontex and NGOs of the group’s situation and location, informing them that the people needed medical attention and wanted to claim asylum in Greece.
At 18:27 CEST authorities on Symi confirmed that they had found the group and that they would be registered with the asylum services.

Border police patrols
While the exact location of patrols is of course constantly changing, this line indicates the approximate boundary routinely patrolled by border guards’ naval assets.
