Situation: Two travellers on jetski in distress in the Alboran Sea, rescued by Guardia Civil and brought to Malaga.

Summary of the case: On Saturday the 13th of August 2022, the Alarm Phone shift team was alerted by a relative to two people on a jetski in distress in the Alboran Sea. The travellers had left from Al Hoceima on midday the same day. We initially reached one of the travellers, but communication was difficult due to bad connection, and after this we were no longer able to reach the travellers. We alerted the Spanish search and rescue organisation Salvamento Maritimo, relaying all the information we had. The next morning, on the 14th of August, Salvamento Maritimo informed us that the travellers were rescued by the Spanish Guardia Civil and taken to Malaga.

Border police patrols
