Summary of the case: On Sunday the 24th of July 2022, the Alarm Phone shift team was alerted by a relative to a group of three travellers, all men, in distress in the Alboran Sea. The travellers had left from Al Hoceima the previous day at 11.00 CEST on blue and white jet ski, heading towards Almeria. We were not able to establish direct contact to the travellers, but immediately alerted the Spanish search and rescue organisation Salvamento Maritimo to the distress situation, relaying all the information we had. For the rest of the day and during the night we were not able to reach the travellers. The following morning we learned from the relative that the travellers had arrived by themselves to mainland Spain.
