Summary of the Case:

Around noon on June 30th, the Alarmphone was alerted by a relative about a boat in distress south of Rhodes. We reached the people on the boat, who informed us that there are babies on board and a woman in labour pain. The engine was not working and water was entering their boat. We informed the Hellenic Coast Guard at 13:20 CEST. Shortly after we lost contact to the people on board. When we called MRCC Piraeus several times during the next hours, they only told us the usual "we are investigating". When we called Turkish Coast Guard the next day, we learned that they rescued a boat with the same number and constellation of people. Therefore, we have to assume that the people were pushed back by the Hellenic Coast Guard.

Border police patrols
While the exact location of patrols is of course constantly changing, this line indicates the approximate boundary routinely patrolled by border guards’ naval assets.
