Summary of the Case:

On the 26th of December Alarm Phone was alerted about 14 people in distress after a pushback. The people later told us the Hellenic Coast Guard told them "no one told you to come here" and pushed them back. At 02:24 CET we called the Turkish Coast Guard. At 10:45 CET TCG confirms they took the 14 people back to Turkey.

Border police patrols
While the exact location of patrols is of course constantly changing, this line indicates the approximate boundary routinely patrolled by border guards’ naval assets. In the open sea, it usually correspond to the outer extent of the contiguous zone, the area in which “State may exercise the control necessary to prevent infringement of its customs, fiscal, immigration or sanitary laws” (UNCLOS, art. 33).
