Summary of Case In the evening of September 6th Alarmphone was called by a relative who alerted us about a group of travellers including one child, twelve women and 37 men who had departed Laayoune in a white zodiac. The caller had lost touch to the boat almost 24h ago. At 23.43 CEST, we informed the authorities. The Spanish Search and Rescue organization Salvamento Marítimo (SM) Las Palmas confirmed they were already aware of the case and would start a SAR mission the following morning. We continuously tried to establish direct contact to the people in distress but were unable to throughout the night and following day. At 19.42 CEST September 7th media reported the arrival of 54 pepole including one child and twelve women to Fuerteventura. This was confirmed by SM Las Palmas at 07.40 CEST September 8th.
