Summary of Case In the afternoon of August 15th Alarmphone was alerted to a jetski in distress carrying three people who had departed Nador for Spain. We alerted authorities at 16.53 CEST. We were unable to establish contact to the distress case using the numbers the relative who alerted us provided. At 23.00 CEST the same day the Spanish Search and Rescue organisation Salvamento Marítimo (SM) Almería had not found the three people. In the evening of August 16th, neither the relative who had alerted us nor authorities in Spain had any knowledge of the whereabouts of the three people. In the morning of August 18th the relative who alerted us to the case informed us the three people had been rescued by an Algerian fisher who had taken the travellers to Beni Saf, Algeria.
