Summary of Case In the morning of August 14th Alarmphone was alerted to a group of thirteen people, including one minor, in distress, who had departed from Algeria on their way to the island of Ibiza. The relative who alerted us to the distress case had had no news for several hours. We informed authorities at 11.58 CEST. We tried to establish direct contact to the boat throughout the day but remained unsuccessful. In the evening we found a media report stating the rescue of 12 Algerian men including one minor to Palma de Mallorca. Around midday on August 16th the relative who had first alerted us to the distress case confirmed the arrival of his loved ones to Spain.
