Summary of Case Around midday on August 11th Alarm Phone was called by a boat carrying 93 people who were in distress in International waters. They provided a gps position which we passed on to authorities at 12.15 CEST. Throughout the day we tried to re-establish contact to the boat in distress but were unable to. Authorities were unable to provide any information on this case. At 19.40 CEST a relative called us relating a boat with 93 people, matching our information, had arrived to Lampedusa.

  • Border police patrols
