Summary of the Case: At 10:29am CET on Thursday the 27th of December the Alarmphone shift team were alerted to a boat carrying 13 people (including 1 woman) who had left at 2:30am from Achakar. We were unable to make contact with the boat from any of the phone numbers provided to us. At 11:47am our contact person informed us that the boat was close to a cargo ship and sent a picture. We tracked the cargo ship. At 2:25pm we finally made contact with the boat. They were on a red ship, most likely to be Spanish Search and Rescue Organisation Salvamento Maritimo (SM), being rescued to Spain.

Border police patrols
