Summary of the Case:

At 21:03h CEST April 4th, Alarm Phone was alerted to a boat with 33 people on board, including two women, departing from Kenitra in Morocco the day before. They have been on sea for more than 20 hours and have been running out of gasoline, water and food.

It was hard to reach a connection to the people on board, and when we finally established contact, they were very anxious on the phone and could not give us any information about their situation.

Finally, the Marine Royale was informed about the situation by a relative of someone on board and they came for their rescue and brought them back to Morocco.

Border police patrols
