Summary of the Case: In the early morning of the 4th of December, the Alarmphone shift team was alerted by a relative to a group of travellers that has left from Tanger, Morocco. The 27 people, among them 2 women and a 10 month old baby, were travelling in a rubber boat. The Alarmphone shift team managed to establish direct contact with the people who reported that their engine is not working anymore, that the boat is loosing air and that water is entering the boat. We immediately relayed all information to the Moroccan rescue authorities. Short time after we called MRCC Rabat and they informed us that their vessel is already on scene and is carrying out the rescue operation.
