Summary of the Case:

On the 4th of September, the Alarm Phone was alerted about a man who left the Moroccan coast earlier that day swimming in the direction of Ceuta. In the following hours, we send out alerts to Salvamento Maritimo and the Red Cross and tried to find out if the swimmer had reached land safely. In the following days we tried to find the whereabouts of the missing man. Sadly, the concerned authorities and relevant organisations weren’t able to locate him. On the 6th of september we tweeted about the person in distress at sea and in the evening of the 6th, without knowing the fate of the swimmer, we eventually decided to close the case.

Border police patrols
