Case name: 2022_22_11_Eastern Med_1067
Situation: Man in need of medical assistance near Dadia (land border Turkey-Greece), unknown fate
Status of WTM Investigation: Concluded
Place of Incident: Landborder Turkey-Greece
Summary of the Case:

On 25 of November in the late night we were alerted by relatives to an injured man who had crossed the land border from Turkey to Greece. He was close to a road west of Dadia in the district of Soufli. They reported that he was seriously sick and exhausted and unable to move on his own. We could not manage to get in direct contact with the person.

At 23:36 CET we sent an email to alert Greek authorities, expressing his wish to apply for asylum and the need of medical assistance. We also called several police and border guard stations (Soufli, Metaxades, Mikro Dereio) to alert for the case.

The next days we tried to establish the contact to the person and also tried to call the different police and border guard stations we had alerted who did not give us any information.

We also could not manage to establish the contact with the person and also the relatives did not inform us. So finally we had to close the case with unknown result.
