Summary of the Case:

We receive an alert to a person in distress, 'in bad condition' on land in Greece. The position is 20km outside the city of Alexandroupolis. We don't manage to establish direct contact with the person in distress. At 20:06 We alert Greek Authorities via email. We follow up with calls to Alexandroupolis border guard station multiple times, but without results. The next morning neither we nor relatives have any news - they haven't heard from the person in distress since yesterday morning. As we never made contact and could not find out anything, we decide to close the case due to lack of information.

Border police patrols
While the exact location of patrols is of course constantly changing, this line indicates the approximate boundary routinely patrolled by border guards’ naval assets. In the open sea, it usually correspond to the outer extent of the contiguous zone, the area in which “State may exercise the control necessary to prevent infringement of its customs, fiscal, immigration or sanitary laws” (UNCLOS, art. 33).
