Summary of the case

On 23rd of August 2021 at 17h20 CEST, our hotline was informed about two man who had left from a beach close to Al Hoceima, Morocco, on a red and black jetski the night before. The worried families did not have news from them. We informed the authorities in Spain and Morocco and ask for information about the travelers. But neither the Spanish Search and Rescue organization Salvamento Marítimo (SM) nor the Moroccan Navy had information about them. In the evening of the next day (24.08.), authorities confirmed that a search operation was going on, and that it might be our case. Around midnight, SM Almería informed us that two people on a jetski had been rescued, but we could not confirm that these were the two men we had been alerted about. Only the next day (25.08.), we received the information that the travelers had been rescued to Spain. At that moment, they were in Cadiz.
