Summary of Case: In the morning of November 5th Alarm Phone was called by a group of 120 people, including women and children in distress. The caller forwarded the boat’s GPS position and we informed authorities of the distress case at 09.35 CET. Throughout the day, we forwarded updated GPS positions related to us by the people in distress to authorities. Several very worried relatives called us, asking for news of their family members. At 21.30 CET a relative called, informing us that the 120 people had been rescued from sea and brought to Italy by the Italian coast guard.

  • Border police patrols
