Summary of Case In the early morning of July 12th Alarmphone was called by three travellers in distress in the Straight of Gibralta. At the time of the call people appeared highly stressed. We alerted the Spanish Search and Rescue organization Salvamento Marítimo (SM) Madrid and Tarifa at 05.03 CEST. At 05.51 CEST SM Tarifa informed us of the rescue of three swimmers at the GPS we had provided. Later we received confirmation from the people who had been in distress, that they had been rescued.
