Summary of the Case:On the 19th of November we were informed about 14 people that left from Syria (Tartus) towards Cyprus on 15.11.2021. We unsuccessfully tried to get in contact with the people on the boat. At 16:31 CET we informed the coastguards in Cyprus as well as in Lebanon. Until now we don't know about their fate.

Border police patrols
While the exact location of patrols is of course constantly changing, this line indicates the approximate boundary routinely patrolled by border guards’ naval assets. In the open sea, it usually correspond to the outer extent of the contiguous zone, the area in which “State may exercise the control necessary to prevent infringement of its customs, fiscal, immigration or sanitary laws” (UNCLOS, art. 33).
