Summary of the Case:

On the 18th of September at 20:41 CEST we received a call from a sailing boat which was in distress in the Aegean Sea. There were around 65 persons on board. We informed the Rescue Coordination Centre in Piraeus at 21:20 CEST. At 23:52 the Rescue Coordination Centre in Piraeus told us they were still investigating. At 02:51 CEST the Rescue Coordination Centre in Piraeus told us they had sent out a vessel but couldn't find the boat. At 03:03 CEST the people on the boat informed us that they are still drifting in the sea. After that we never established contact to the people on the boat again. The Rescue Coordination Centre in Piraeus refuses to give us any information.

Border police patrols
