Summary of the Case: On 11 January we received information by a relative alerting for a boat going towards Chios. We could not establish a direct contact to the travellers but received the last location which was at the borderline. The travellers had reported that the Turkish coastguard had taken their engine before returning them to Turkey.

  • Border police patrols
