Summary of the Case: : In the early morning of Sunday the 14th of July the Alarm Phone was alerted by a contact person to a boat in distress in Turkish waters carrying 20 travellers. For one hour our shift team unsuccessfully tried to establish contact with the boat. At 3:05am CEST we called the Turkish coastguard. Ten minutes later, the Turkish coastguard called us back and informed us that the boat had already been rescued and brought back to land.

Border police patrols
While the exact location of patrols is of course constantly changing, this line indicates the approximate boundary routinely patrolled by border guards’ naval assets.
