Summary of the Case: On the 1st of November at 12:16am CET the Alarmphone shift team were alerted to a boat carrying 19 people, their engine had stopped working. Once we received the GPS coordinates and made contact with the boat we informed the Greek coastguard of the case. At 1:45am we got information from the contact person that the boat had arrived to Kos by itself. At 1:50am we passed this information on to the Greek coastguard who said that they had just spotted a boat in the position we had sent and were approaching. At 2:07am we received confirmation that the boat had made it to land.

Border police patrols
