Summary of the Case:

On Thursday, 7th of June, at 5:59am CEST, we were contacted directly by travellers on a boat in distress in the Strait of Gibraltar. They were 7 people on board. At 6:35am, we received the GPS position of the boat, that we passed to the Spanish rescue authority Salvamento Marítimo at 6:45am. We stayed in contact with the boat. At 10:21am we received a new position of the boat and the information that the boat was in heavy distress. At 10:30am we called the Moroccan Maritime Rescue Coordination Center and requested assistance to the boat. At 12:00am a contact person confirmed that the boat had been rescued by the Moroccan Marine.

Border police patrols
