Summary of the Case: On Saturday, the 20th of May 2017, at 5.35 am, a contact person alerted us to 3 boats in distress in the Aegean Sea near Cesme. Their engines weren't working anymore and they were urgently asking for help. The contact person provided us with several numbers of people on the boat. We managed to reach them and communicate with them. Finally, our contact person confirmed that the boats had been rescued - 1 boat by the Greek Coastguard and 2 boats by the Turkish Coastguard.

Border police patrols
While the exact location of patrols is of course constantly changing, this line indicates the approximate boundary routinely patrolled by border guards’ naval assets.
