Summary of the Case: On Saturday the 30th of May 2015, our Alarm Phone shift team received a distress call at around 8.30am from a vessel that had left the Moroccan shore at around 4am. We were informed that 10 people were on the vessel, including 1 woman and 1 child who were seasick, and water was entering the vessel. We immediately informed the Spanish rescue agency Salvamento Maritimo. At around 9.30am, contact to the passengers was re-established and we told them that a rescue operation was launched. Again about 1 hour later, we learned in a phone conversation that they were intercepted and rescued by the Moroccan Marine Royal. They were disappointed but glad to be safe.
